La nostra storia

Per tutti era semplicemente "la signorina", per tantissimi è stata madre, maestra, consigliera. La sua "Casa dei ragazzi" ora aperta agli anziani e gestita dall'ALCIM, l'associazione laicale intitolata al Cuore Immacolato di Maria, da lei fondata nei primi anni  cinquanta e riconosciuta dai vescovi che si sono succeduti in Diocesi in oltre mezzo secolo - continua la sua attività.                                                                               Elvira di famiglia agiata, accettò tutto da tutti e iniziò quell'avventura umana che l'avrebbe portata poi nel nuovo complesso della "Casa dei ragazzi" ad accoglierne  a centinaia, da tutta la provincia e anche dal resto d'Italia.                                                    CENNI BIOGRAFICI:                                                                                                                              il 12 dicembre 1915, nella chiesa parrocchiale di San Michele Arcangelo di Contigliano (Rieti) si univano in matrimonio i futuri genitori di Elvira e di altri sei figli: Laura, Giuseppe, Francesca, Maria Beatrice (morta all'età di due anni) Anna ed ancora Maria Beatrice, ultima della bella famiglia. In questa famiglia cosi numerosa che era frequentata anche da cugini e cugine tutti più piccoli di Elvira, lei ebbe modo di sviluppare il suo senso materno e la sua attitudine di educatrice sull'esempio di don Bosco il cui metodo applicò sempre nella sua Comunità dei Ragazzi.                                                                                                                                                         Elvira, pur avendo una salute carente ed una vista debole, sapeva muoversi spinta da una grandissima volontà e riusciva a vedere ogni cosa e persona con cui era a contatto con gli occhi dell'anima.                                                                                            Da  "Casa dei Ragazzi" a "Casa di Riposo"                                                                                     Le "nuove povertà"  imploravano aiuto e ci si aprì ad una nuova prospettiva, una nuova scommessa: gli anziani sostituiscono i bambini.                                                  Elvira si macerò nel silenzio di chi, soffrendo, sa accettare la condizione trasmessa dai segni dei tempi e imparò ad essere anziana tra i suoi anziani, delegando ad altri - per quanto glielo consentivano il carattere energico e la sollecitudine per il buon andamento della Casa - le "incombenze" alle quali non poteva più far fronte personalmente.

To everyone, she was simply "la Signorina"-the young lady-but to many, she was a mother, a teacher, a
mentor. Her "Casa dei Ragazzi" (House of the child), now open to the elderly and managed by A.L.C.I.M.,
the lay association named after the Immaculate Heart of Mary which she founded in the early 1950s and
which has been recognized by the bishops who have succeeded one another in the Diocese for over half a
century, continues its mission.
Elvira, born into a wealthy family, accepting everything from everyone and embarked on that human
adventure which would lead her, in the newly built "Casa dei Ragazzi," to welcome hundreds of children not
only from the province, but from all over Italy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Biographical Notes:
On December 12, 1915, in the parish Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Contigliano (Rieti), the future
parents of Elvira and six other children-Laura, Giuseppe, Francesca, Maria Beatrice (who died at the age of
two years) Anna, and once again Maria Beatrice, the youngest of the lovely family- were married.
In this large family, which was also often visited by younger cousins, Elvira had the opportunity to develop her
maternal instinct and her vocation as an educator, following the example of Don Bosco, whose method she
consistently applied within her community of boys.           

 

 From "Casa dei Ragazzi" to "Retirement Home"
The "new forms of poverty" cried out for help, opening the door to a new perspective, a new challenge: the
elderly replaced the children.
Elvira endured in silence, with the suffering acceptance of one who understands the meaning carried by the
signs of the times. She learned to grow old among her elderly residents, entrusting others-so far as her
strong-willed nature and her care for the smooth running of the Home would allow-with the responsibilities

 ALCIM OGGI:                                                                                                                                                 Alcim negli anni ha ampliato le sue attività e si è adeguata alle normative del Terzo Settore, entrando in ANASTE e  avendo ottenuto l' iscrizione al RUNTS .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 ALCIM TODAY:                                                                                                                                      Over the years, Alcim has expanded its services and adapted to Third Sector regulations, becoming part of Anaste and registered in the National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS).
